Not sure, but I have hashimoto’s disease, and both my disease & my meds cause me to lose hair, so I’m interested too!

I don’t know how much help this will be, as I haven’t taken them, but my roommate did.  She took it because medications she was on made her hair and nails brittle.  She didn’t take it for hair loss, just for breakage.  The biotin definitely helped with that, and she said when she stopped taking it her hair and nails would go back to breaking.  I think it would just help your body with keratin production, so I wouldn’t worry about body hair or any of that.  Depending on the cause of your hair loss, biotin may or may not help.

I take it once a day.  My eyebrows seem to grow faster, but that’s it.  No weird spots of hair growth.  I never had hair sheeding so I can’t answer that.

I was taking a 7500mcg.  I use the Sundown Naturals.  They’re really small.

I take biotin and folic acid along with my multi for hair growth. Within about 4 months my Fiance was telling me how much thicker my hair looked. I stopped taking it for a while and while I didn’t notice any new growth, I noticed my hair was not falling out. I totally recommend it…it really helped me and then when I added the folic acid I really saw a difference. The only negative is that ALL my hair grows faster now! (eyebrows, etc..)
