[comment moderated for name calling] You have no right to cancel the check to your photographer because your hair got messed up. It’s not her fault. She does not owe you a re-shoot.

As hair stylist, chances are that you have higher standards for your hair than the average Jane. I bet it’s not nearly as bad as you think it is.  Calm down and put things in perspective.

@howtobeawife:  A little harsh, but I do agree.

OP, at the end of the day, does it REALLY matter how your hair looked?  Or does the fact that you married your best friend matter?

Needless to say, I think you are overreacting.

As a hair stylist you probably have higher standards. I’d prefer to see pictures to see if it really was a rats nest like you claim. If everyone said it looked fine, it probably did.

Would you have preferred for the photographer to not have taken any pictures because she thought your hair looked crap?

How ridiculous. Take responsibility for your own decisions.

@howtobeawife:  +1

I think you are overreacting.  I’m sure your hair looked just fine!  But even if it didn’t, it’s not your photographer’s fault and you have zero right to cancel her check and demand a reshoot.

Wow.. really?  The photographer has absolutely NO responsibility over your hair. They are not a hair stylist.

Chances are you probably had a couple of fly aways and it’s nothing to complain about.

@Horsleybridezilla:  People aren’t being rude, they’re being honest. It’s actually YOU who is being rude to your photographer, blaming them for something they didn’t even do wrong.

One doesn’t simply “photo shop” nit-picky details from a picture. It takes a lot more time than that to get everything to look right. If you are that bothered and you think it’s a simple enough fix, download a program called Gimp and do the corrections yourself. It’s like Photoshop, only free. Usually the photo edits are color and contrast correction, things like that. Anything else takes time, which will cost more money.

It’s not the photographer’s job to make sure your hair is fixed. If you have a booger or something obvious, that’s one thing. But the photographer isn’t going to be able to tell what your hair is supposed to look like. Without seeing the pictures, it sounds like you’re probably over-reacting.

Yikes…? I thought this was going to be a “show me your hair down pics” type-of post. I REALLY wanted to see one of these.
