- Wedding: December 2010
Thank you and a big round of applause.
This weekend my best friend, a single mom, was invited to a “no kids” wedding in Chicago and I volunteered to watch her 6 month old so she could go. I’ve watched her countless times, but never overnight so I was nervous.
We’ve had her since Friday and I am exhausted. Between feeding every 3 hours, diaper changes, chasing her crawling self, and 5:00am wake ups, I am baffled as to how you do it. We went out to dinner last night and I took nearly my entire meal home because she was fussy. Literally the second after I boxed it up, she fell asleep, lol!
So thank you — you have my upmost respect and I truly feel that you have the hardest job in the world. Next time I see a lady juggling bags and a crying baby in line at Starbucks, rather than roll my eyes I’m buying her a latte and giving her a hug. You ladies are absolutely amazing and I’m in awe of how you balance it all.
