I have hyperhidrosis and sweat under my breasts and underarms, it’s awful and it makes me hate life. I went to the doctor in the hopes of getting the green light for botox, but he just gave me a Rx for Drysol. It’s wicked powerful, you only use it 1-2 times a week, but it’s working out. Might want to consult your doctor? You don’t have to put up with it!
Also, cut out salt COMPLETELY from your diet.

I will have to get some of that. This is one of my biggest concerns for the day. My dress is a kind of heavy cotton lace, so I am worried I’ll be miserably hot.
Napa gets REALLY hot in August (think 90-100 degrees), so we compensated by making the ceremony at 6:30pm, but that guarantees nothing. :/
We’ll see if I’m a sweaty bride!

I’ve been using Certain Dri on and off for years (its the kind you put on at bedtime, not in the morning). Theres a few new products out there that are similiar “clinical strength” but I honestly did not find them at the same grade as Certain Dri. It’s not a fancy box, doesn’t have a brand name associated with it, but it really really works. I’d recommend Certain Dri roll-on over anything else (besides prescription strength, which I’ve used but it was $$ and involved Dr visits. Certain Dri is most definitely prescription strength).

I too swear by Certain Dri, but the problem with that is it’ll stop the sweat from your pits, but the sweat will need to come out of you somewhere else, and you don’t know where until you use it! For me, it used to move to the forehead, which is where the OP said she had it worst so I hope that’s not the case for anyone else. But I still love it.

oh lordy. I am a sweater… haha. I guess its in my genes, but oh well!!! When the judge made me say my vows and said we were officially married (or whatever he said… I don’t really remember, lol) it felt like every single pore of my body was sweating and in overdrive!! Talk about anxiety!!! My sister told me about chafing cream (Monistat makes a good one) thats helps keep areas that crease up a lot stay dry. Also, I used a clinical strength deodorant. As for make up, I used MAC’s Refined Zone to help my T-Zone stay matte, MAC’s Prep & Prime primer, put on my make up, and then set with Urban Decay’s All Nighter setting spray which REALLY worked well for me! 🙂 goodluck to you!

I am a sweater too 🙁 I hate it and i’m agonizing as well. My wedding is Oct 1st and indoors but when i’m nervous, my face turns red and then i sweat. A few years ago I found a product called Maxim, it’s a roll on anti-persperant for people with hyperhydrosis, but the website said you can use on any part of the body. So I got it and tried it on my face where I dont want people to see me sweat and it works!!! it honestly works! You put it on the night before and it does sting the first few times you do it, I wont lie, but for it to work its worth it for me. The only downsides beside the stinging is it can make your skin really dry, so i dont use it often, only for big events or where pics will be taken. I’m going to use it the night before the wedding but i’m a little nervous about having dry patches on my face and how it will effect my makeup. But honestly, this stuff works and gives me alot of self confidence. You have to order it online but you can google it to find it.

Weirdest tip ever—- if you use a surgical disinfectant sponge– (the kind the hospital has you clean yourself with before sugery– a few bucks at the drugstores). I was nervous before surgery and they said no deoderant– but I smelled good for two days! I can’t remember if it helped the actual amount of sweat– but you don’t need deoderant– so no white bits under your arms!

I’m with the Certain Dri crew, esp the roll on kind. I’d try it out way ahead just to make sure that 1) you’re not allergic to it, and 2) that it works for you. I sure do love it, and I make sure to use it when I’m having a formal event or something professional, etc.
And, you can always be a fancy lady and carry a hankerchief 🙂 And that surgical sponge idea is a new one I’ve never heard of!

wait, so you use the sponge to blot off the sweat? That sounds reasonable! This is all great info, ladies…I am one sweaty little lady, so I’m definitely taking this to heart.

Icepacks in coolers. Tons of them. Pop them out while you’re getting ready and throw them back in the coolers before you go down the aisle!

I’m a sweater! 🙂
I wore my hair up. I drank a lot of water. And I took wet wipes to dab with (they dried up better than tissues and didn’t wipe off my makeup) – all went well until the dancing started. Then there was NO hope. I was having too much fun by then to worry about the sweat!!!
