You have a ring that could so be worn alone, it is beautiful! I would say go for it! I never care what people think so to me it does not matter.

I dunno – I think that the right wedding band doesn’t take away from an e-ring, but rather compliments or even completes it. I love my e-ring, but the band just blends with it without taking away from it at all (I would post a pic with them together, but I don’t have one of them together yet)

Honestly, yes, when I see just an e-ring, I assume the girl is not yet married. I think a tiny, delicate band would look LOVELY with your ring! Even just a plain platinum band would look great. I think you should at least get one for the ceremony, and that way, even if you choose not to wear it with your e-ring all the time, you would have a ring to wear when you don’t want to have the solitaire on (chores, etc.).

I don’t plan on wearing a band with my e-ring–it just doesn’t look right.  However I am thinking about getting a band and I’ll likely switch off which ring I wear, but on the days I just wear the e-ring it will stand as both.  I also know quite a few people who wear the band on the left, e-ring on the right.  Do whatever feels right for you.  Even if a person here and there just thinks you’re engaged, it’s not that big of a deal–the ring still signifies you’re committed and you can correct them if needed.  Gorgeous ring, btw!

i have a vintage ring that won’t work with any band and because of the style it doesn’t look good on my right hand, so i’m just using it as my wedding band. i want to get a plain band as well, for when i can’t wear my ring (but probably won’t have it before the wedding…)

i wonder about the whole “thinking i’m just engaged” thing, too. but i feel that my friends or other engaged women are the only people that really notice rings anyway. guys are (at least in my experience) oblivious. and if they did, they might not even know you’re “supposed” to have another wedding band anyway.

I wouldn’t worry what people think-my e ring is an eternity ring,so I guess people think I am married not engaged! However it is always good to have a plain band for exercise or travel, and I think it would look fine with your ring.

The only place I have seen 1.5mm platinum is e-weddingbands.com-but it is SO thin, I would get the 2.
