I have a bezel and have never regretted it. My ring feels very secure, even if I’m clumsy and bang it into things. I might get a RHR someday with claw prongs, but some rings I see with prongs, that’s kind of all I can see, you know? I feel like they kind of detract from the stone. The one thing to note (could be a good thing or a bad thing) is that bezel set stones look bigger than they are. I probably would have gone with a smaller size moissanite had I realized that.

Happy to! I have a 1.5 carat equivalent OEC Forever Brilliant moissanite, and my ring size is 5.75. I know that’s not very large by the Bee standards, but it’s larger than most people’s rings I see around me in real life, so sometimes I get a little self-conscious about it being too big. I wanted a 1.25 carat but Schubach didn’t have an OEC that size when I was shopping around.

I have a bezel set round sapphire that I love. I do agree about the extra finger coverage that the bezel gives – I feel that mine is just teetering on being too big for my finger. There’s also a bit of compromise in terms of light getting to the stone, so sometimes it looks quite dark/flat, but I don’t think that would be as much a problem with a lighter stone. Overall I love that it is so secure and doesn’t catch on anything and adore the sleek design of the bezel.

loverbeexx :  Sure! I’m a 4.5 ring size for reference.

I think the stone and settings you’re looking at are gorgeous, so you can’t go wrong either way 🙂

I love my bezel halo. It never hurts my kids, or snags of any of my stuff!

Bezel girl here! The bezel was 100% my fiancé’s idea (I didn’t know about the ring until he proposed) and I’m so glad he did it. The ring feels comfortable and never gets caught On my clothes or hair. Also I love the peach color that you posted! Very cool.

i love a pear in a bezel. It’s the only way I would wear either a pear or a bezel, actually. I think it provides great protection, I always worry about if pears would catch at the tip on things

    mrsptobe2017 :  I love the milgrain!

OP, it would look fantastic if instead of the halo, you went with a milgrain bezel with sidestones!

Oh man, I love bezels. Like previous posters have mentioned, bezel settings are great for protecting pear-shaped stones, especially at the tip. I love how there’s no snagging or pulling on clothes, and milgrain adds a really delicate feel.
