My dress came with a bolero. I’ve decided to wear it for the ceremony but not the reception. My question is–what should I do for the photos? Would it be weird if I had it on in some pictures and not in others? Should I, say, keep it on for the family portraits and such, but take it off for the artistic pictures of me and FI? What do you think?

No, it wouod not look weird to wear the bolero in some shots but not others. Do both, then choose the pics you like.

I think it’d be great to wear it for some shots but not others! I think your photographer could give you some great insight about which shots it should be in. You’ll be so stylish!!!

I think it would be fine in the family pics but not for the more artistic and fun pics. DO you like it with the bolero on or off better? My only concern with keeping it on for all the pics is that if you like the dress better with it off.

@auggiefrog: It’s okay. . . every time someone sees the dress they exclaim about the bolero more than anything else, so I feel like everyone loves it so I should wear it. Fiance loves my back and shoulders, so I definitely don’t want to wear it the whole time.

Thanks for this post! I just posted the exact same headline, lol. I liked the answers in this post though. Wearing a bolero in the photos that the photographer thinks will look good, is a great ideas especially if you don’t like the bolero anyways on you. I think it will give you many different looks, and seem like you had many dress changes. My dress too came with a bolero. Which one are you wearing?
