I was looking up stuff about boudoir albums online the other day, and my Boyfriend or Best Friend caught me.  He asked what it was; when I explained, his eyes got wide, his cheeks flushed, and he looked directly at me.  “You should do that,” he said.  “You should definitely do that.”  I vote that you should go for it.

I shot my own! I think they came out pretty good too! Google DIY Boudoir and you’ll find lots of blogs/articles etc!

For me it was a really awesome experience, and not only does Fiance get to enjoy the photos, I get to have pictures of me looking fabulous and sexy!

if you’re worried about looking trashy, look around a couple of different photographers – some don’t do nudity and focus more on cute sexy outfits, and some are about flashes of boob and butt.  Figure out what style you want to shoot and you’ll be much more comfortable in front of the camera!

They were talking about these on the radio the other day. A bunch of guys called in and said that they dont like these. All men that called said that getting this from a GF/FI/Wife is creepy. One guy said that his wife is very attractive and she dresses up for him all the time but if she did this he would be freaked out. A couple of guys called in and said their wifes did these for them and they said they did not like it at all.

These comments could be specific to the area that i live in though. I asked my husband for funsies and he very politely told me how attractive i am and how much he loves me but to please never do anything like that. LOL

Please dont take this personally ladies who have done this…i just thought i would share what i experienced. πŸ™‚ Thanks!

I can always justify spending money on photos, so I say go for it! I’m sure you’re future husband will LOVE it & it’s something that he will keep forever πŸ™‚

I think it depends. I read something about it, it was like “Boudoir pics- A nice way to show your man that another man has been staring at his wife”

I think most men don’t think that women are often photographers as well πŸ˜€ I don’t know why. But thats why I dig the DIY! PM me if you want me to show you some pics, I think they turned out great!

@Belle2Be:  My Boyfriend or Best Friend did request that I use a female photographer.  When we were looking at photographers in the area, he also pointed out that the trashier portfolios tended to belong to guys, whereas the classy-but-still-sexy ones were shot by women.

@LoriKay628: It is a big decision. It is not for everyone but for some it is a great idea! πŸ™‚ Do you think it is the kind of think your SI would like? That might sound like a silly question but some guys like this sort of thing and some dont. Like I know my husband is not into this sort of thing. But your SI might love something like this πŸ™‚ I think this question only you can answer

@bestbuddies: I think what guys are willing to say on a radio program on this subject is fairly different than what they might say in confidence to their wife in their home. I know I’ve never seen a thread on Weddingbee where someone was lamenting that their husband thought their boudoir photos were creepy or weird – though if anyone had that happen, feel free to chime in.

OP, sounds like you’re really into it. If the money is available, do it!
