I’m taking mine off.  I bought a cute flower headband for the reception.

I didn’t know you could bustle a veil. I’m having trouble picturing it. Do you have a link or something?

Every wedding I’ve been to, the bride has removed the veils and such following the ceremony – with the exception of a Muslim wedding I went to where the bride just stayed normally covered.

I took the veil off IMMEDIATELY after leaving the church, every time someone hugged me, it jerked my head back. That was my plan anyhow, but I didn’t know it would be that irritating. I had a headband that stayed on for the reception.

My veil was only fingertip length, and even that was pulling on my head and driving me nuts.  I took it off once I got to the reception.  I actually had my hairdresser place a sparkly hair comb underneath my veil, so that after I took it off, but hair wasn’t plain, and I didn’t have to mess with putting another hairpiece on
