@jessiemaims:  Ohh that’s a tough decision. I bought 130 napkins for our wedding (and for me, the cost of buying them was like 1/4 the cost of renting them) and I resold them for exactly what I bought them for. It was a serious pain washing every single napkin, but when I listed them on Ruffled and 100 Layer Cake Marketplace, I got a ton of interest (20-30 emails). If you are savvy with reselling things (it doesn’t take too much work, mostly washing them so they’re in good condition, taking good photos of them, and writing good descriptions of them) then you should buy them – but honeslty, I really don’t think any of your guests will notice what color the sequins are. If you rented them, could your mom or another family member wash them (if needed) and ship them back to the rental company?

@jessiemaims:  Could you buy/rent overlays instead of full-length tablecloths for cheaper? How many tables are you expecting to have?

IF you could sell them, it would be better to buy them. I honestly think you would be able to sell them.
