Hi Bees!
I’ve fallen in love with this capelet, I love all the detail + I am a little bit self concious of my arms and kind of wish I have gotten sleeves on my dress so I like the extra coverage it would give me, particulary during the reception.
Do you think it would go well with my dress or would it be too much?
Thanks!

Does your dress have detail at the top? I cant tell from your pic (and I am on my phone). If so, I would say it doesnt go, sorry. If it doesnt then I say go for it if you love it.

I am really bad at telling those things just from looking at them online, but I definitely think so!
Also, I freakin’ love that capelet!! Where is it from?
And finally, your arms look perfect. 🙂

I voted “other” because I don’t think the dress has too much going on, but I don’t think that the capelet matches the details on the top of the dress. It also looks like the color matches neither the top nor the bottom of the dress, so I think it would be odd with three different colors. I like them both independently, but not together, sorry. Also, I definitely don’t think there’s anything wrong with your arms!! Maybe a nice blingy belt?

I think it would look beautiful! But it looks beautiful without as well. Just depends if you will be feeling too self conscious without it.

@gelaine22: Hi yeah it has a lace overlay which is why I was thinking it might be too much
@howsweetitis: Thank you ladies! In that case I think I might have to go back and get it and give it a try. Worse case scenario I’ll have a capelet to wear on my honeymoon lol? It’s from Forever New, here’s the website

Only just discovered them, I so wish I had gotten my bridesmaid dresses from them, they have beautiful things!

@MsChandler: If you can order it and return it without fees, it definitely seems worth a try to see if it matches! As I said, my concerns aren’t about its looks, but rather whether it will match.

@MsChandler: I don’t think the detail on the top of your dress would go with it. I think you need something with no pattern and makes more of a statement to go with the dress.

Thanks for all your feedback, so I found out there was a store near me that stocked them, rushed down today and LOVE the way it looks. Thanks again!

@MsChandler: It looks lovely 🙂 It’s great you were able to find it nearby!
And your dress is beautiful. I wouldn’t worry about your arms, they don’t look bad at all. But I understand, I feel the same about mine.
