I voted to let him pick, but I’m sort of a hypocrite…I also had 2 styles that I really liked. It was a total tie, but sometimes I thought I liked one more. I told BF (not engaged yet) to choose which one he liked but ended up feeling the same way you did and telling him I wanted one over the other. Now, I really wish I would have trusted his taste and let him pick. I think it would have meant more to see which one reminded him of me more and to have something HE picked out himself. If you’re deadlocked between the two, let him pick. Just my opinion!

Let him pick so he gets a say in your ring. My husband chose my center stone, I chose the setting.

Both beautiful rings, but I prefer the oval.  I would choose if I were you!

They are both so gorgeous! I say let him pick, I think when we are choosing our own rings we over think things and worry about the silliest things, Let him choose and don’t worry!

I vote to let hiM pick but I could be biased since that is what I did. We went to a few different places and I picked a couple from each store and let SO have the ultimate decision. I love that it will be a surprise and he got to choose the ring he sees his wife wearing forever 🙂

I LOVE the pear one…. so so so so so much.

If you honestly love both of them equally then allow your SO choose. If you even have the slightest preference for one over the other you should probably pick it out.

I let me Fiance pick from between three rings (different prices).  If you love both of them then let him pick.  You’ll have the fun bonus of actually being surprised when he proposes.  Just make sure that you really, really, really, like both of them.

@Sawyer13:  I voted for the pear because I LOOOVE the way pears look in halos! And the rose gold makes it a million times better! I also said it is ok to let your SO make the final choice.. like some other posters said, then he will feel like he had some say in your ring and it may make it more special to both of you! Unless, of course, you know in your heart that you would be disappointed with one choice over the other.

I think it’s a good idea to let him choose. It makes it more of a surprise and more special if he chooses the one you love on his own.

I would say let him pick now that you’ve narrowed it down.  I narrowed it down to three choices and told him to pick one out of the three.  He ended up calling me as he was ordering it because he had a last minute moment of panic that I wouldn’t like it haha. I guess I kind of picked it in the end but it was the one he would have chosen anyways.

I had two syle rings and I totally loved, and my Fiance picked out something totally different and I have no ring regrets! He picked out something more detailed and sparkly! I totally love it! Just let him pick!

I’ve done it both ways.  The first ring I picked out, put on hold, and DH just went and picked it up.  For the upgrade I chose the stone I liked and gave him my parameters and he chose the stone.  We went together to pick the setting.  I wish now I had let him choose the first time.  His eyes really sparkle when he tells the story of how he picked it out himself and he really did a great job at it as well.

Since you like both I’d let him choose and have it be a surprise. 🙂
