@parapluie:  Corset! It will fit perfect! I loved my corset. I am also “Full Figured” (:

@parapluie:  My corset makes me feel SOOO supported!  I added cups to feel a little more “contained” but have zero problems worrying about my boobs or the dress falling a little low.  It doesn’t give at ALL!

Do you have a picture of what the back currently looks like? I think it would be fine with a corset from what I can see here. I happen to love corsets so maybe I’m biased ๐Ÿ˜›

    Your dress is beautiful!

I am a similar size, and I wore a dress with a zipper back. In fact, I never even tried on a corset-style dress.  No, it didn’t fit as snugly as I had hoped, but that’s because I kept losing weight prior to my wedding, even after my final fitting.

I personally think that, because of the beautiful ruffles and V back on your gown, adding a corset may take away from the elegance of your dress.  However, that is just my opinion.

The bow will cover most of the back anyways. Corset all the way! I went to my sister’s graduation last June and I saw some gals who were full-figured (around my size and body shape) some wearing zippers and some wearing corsets. The ones in the corsets looked amazing, while the girls with zippers looked much larger than they needed to.

Corsets are a full figured girl’s best friend ๐Ÿ˜‰ I hated myself in the zip up styles I tried on but the corsets were like BAM!

I also wanted a corset but fell in love with a zipper dress. I plan on buying a proper corset to wear underneath it (I have my eye on one from What Katie Did.) When I go in for alterations, I am going to have them alter it to my corseted size. That way, I get the look of a corset without sacrificing the beautiful little buttons.

I’ll be honest, my dress had a corset and I LOVED it, but I had a friend who was a little larger than I (and not as tall) and she tried on corsets and she HATED them–they certainly can suck in the mid section, but she hated how the fat rolls bulged over the top in the back and in the armpits. She chose a zippered dress and she looked awesome–plus she had NO issues with the dress sliding down. I actually DID have issues with mine sliding down–you have to redo the corseting during the day because it stretches out a bit.

The back of your dress looks best with a zipper. If you do a corset, choose that because it’s a pretty look–not because you feel you need to ‘suck yourself in.’ I’m sure you’re beautiful as is, and your Fiance will love you no matter what–embrace your figure and show it off!

I think with the v shape of the back a corset would not ruin the look of it. I vote corset

@parapluie:  I hope the underbust will work for that purpose. It seems like it will probably be lower than the overbust corsets. I will definitely post pics!

I just ordered my allure dress (different style number)!  It had a corset back but it also had a zipper too.  I paid a lil extra and am having them remove the zipper and continue the corset back down to where the zipper was.  My vote is corset!
