I finally have a site that is both stunning and reasonable in price. SO, I’ve started the daunting process of purchasing decor. I didn’t realize how expensive chair covers were.
So, here is a picture of the chairs in the hall. Can I get away with not using chair covers and sashes??? My colors are canary yellow and dove grey. I will include a hint of blue in the reception.

I think if your colors are longer the same lines as the chairs I would def leave them uncovered! I think they’re beautiful actually….!

I think you can DEFINITELY get away with not using chair covers. I think that the gold and bluish-grey of the chairs will be okay with canary yellow and dove grey.

If your colors go with the color of the chair, don’t worry about covering them. If you still wanted to do something fancier, maybe add a sash for the back of the chair. I do LOVE chair covers and they are a must for my wedding, but if the chairs are nice, and you can work around them then thats just being lucky!

It looks like they are going to go with your colors great! I would now worry about it. I am trying to decide this myself. If I can find a pic of the chairs at my reception venue I will upload them.

I would leave the chairs alone! They aren’t the worst ones I have seen for sure.

Honestly, they might look better than chair covers, unless you were considering colored chair covers. I think I would skip them and save the HUNDREDS of dollars

I wouldn’t say the chairs are gorgeous, but I think it would be unnecessary to cover them. They will go with your colors well enough.

Here are the chairs in the inside area of my reception venue. The chairs outside are wrought iron and I love them. I know that you cannot tell a lot from the pic, but the chairs are a light green/gray color. My colors are in the pic below. Good post OBmims!!

I personally think they NEED to be covered. Why don’t you google pictures of the chairs without and then covered and that way you can see the difference. Also, some venues include chair covers with the chairs, so double check with whoever is supplying the chairs and see if the covers come with as an option. For a wedding, they really need to be covered. Not to be ugly or hurt your feelings, they’re just ugly. Sorry!! Good luck!

I think if you didn’t cover them it wouldn’t be a big deal. I defintely don’t think they NEED to covered.

Thanks everyone for the timely comments!!
I don’t think the chairs are UGLY… as previously stated!! My future hubby and I are paying for everything ourselves, so we want to save money where we can without risking appearance.
@Tonya2010… I think the chairs will look okay if you include a sash in the reddish color nd bring color to the table through candles and flowers!!!
@Magenta.. thanks for the site… I will check it out!!

The chairs seem to fit pretty well with your color scheme and definitely don’t need to be covered. Since you don’t dislike the chairs, save yourself the money and skip the chair covers. I think covered chairs sometimes end up looking like little ghosts anyway 🙂
