- Wedding: July 2010
Recently we met with our amazing florists where we proceeded to go through various pictures that I had collected over the past month of things I liked. After deciding on the various floral arrangements for the big day we came to the question of chair covers.
Originally I was never going to be without them becuase I didn’t like how the tables would be covered in lovely ivory linens and we would have beautiful floral arrangements at the tables so how could you not consider covering the chairs as well.
After discussion with the florists she brought up a point that no one really notices that you do or don’t have chair covers when they walk into the room. (Point taken as I recollected about a recent wedding we were at and could not recall whether they had them or not.) So FH and I decided to think about it and get back to her on whether we would like to see some samples or just go without.
The tables all put together from a different wedding without the chair covers and with the chair covers looks like this:
These chair covers and sashes are expensive! But they do pull the room together nicely and I have found what they call a ‘chair in a bag’ that has the chair cover and the sash alrady in one piece and you just pull it on and tie the sash. I would stick with the ivory so it wouldn’t take away from the centerpieces.
They would look really nice but our reception hall seats approximately 300 guests which will add up quickly.
Is anyone else having troubles with this? Any recommendations?
