So….I finally settled on a dress (I think). I really love SO many parts of this dress- it’s slimming, has buttons, is lacy without being overbearing…but the dress is less flowy and more fitted than I’d like due to the crepe fabric.
However, I’m going to have the sides let out a bit to give it more movement. Another alternation that was suggested is to have the crepe part of the dress cut out from behind the lace to let the lace stand out more. This would make the dress lighter in weight and also highlight a beautiful part of it. BUT, I’m worried about how it will look afterwards. Will a huge triangle be missing from my dress? Is there any way to do this so it gradually transitions itself back into the crepe without looking like a missing puzzle piece? I included 2 photos- the first is my dress, the second is how I don’t want my dress to look on the bottom. Thoughts?
