With such a small guest list, it may be cheaper to do them yourself, since small quantities cost more on vendor sites.

I used invitationconsultants.com and it was reasonably priced and had a decent selection in different budget ranges.

Depending on what you want, ordering from a vendor may be faster; however, also depending on the look you want, it could be way more expensive. I opted to DIY our invites because for the look that we want, it was way less expensive for us to have me DIY them. I suggest pricing out the materials you would need for DIYing them yourself versus ordering them from a vendor. Here is a link to mine with a cost breakdown, a breif how to, and a link to make pocketfolds.

What do you want to do? An invitation that looks like a boarding pass would be PERFECT!!!

@TheFutureMrsC: Thank you πŸ™‚ It only took me a couple of weeks, but I took a lot of breaks. If I would have just worked through it, I could have had them done in a day or two.

@TheFutureMrsC: I say go for it! You have some time and with only ~30 to complete it shouldn’t take you too long. I made ours because we couldn’t find anything that we liked and it was cheaper. I ended up doing them in parts and once all the parts were complete I put everything together. It helped speed things up. I posted them around here somewhere but can’t find it right now…

ETA: Found it! Here’s the link

I think if you want to DIY go ahead and do it. You’ve already sent out Save-The-Date Cards so your invites don’t need to go out till March – you have plenty of time if you start on them now (mine took forever but starting early kept me from having to rush).

@TheFutureMrsC: We had a Destination Wedding wedding too (We got married in NC and we are from PA) and sent our invites out the end of July, almost August. I wanted to have them out a little earlier because of hotel information, but it was fine since we already included some hotel info when we sent out our STD’s and it was also on our wedding website.

Depends on how many you are making and how detailed you want them to be. I am making our to cut down on costs and so they they are EXACTLY what I invision but we aren’t getting married until July so we have a little bit of time. I am going to start mine about a month before I want to send them out just to make sure I am not behind on getting them to people, though I doubt it will take a month.
