(Closed) To Double Halo or Not to Double Halo?

Leave it as is, stop being picky.

    Have MoissaniteCo customize it.

Just buy the diamond one, moissanites are fake diamonds.

I like double halos in very specific circumstances, but in this case I like the first ring better. The second reminds me of a Tiffany and Co. ring a fellow Bee has, but her center stone is a canary diamond. The contrast works nicely.

I agree with some of the PPs, I like the double halo if you have a colored center stone, but with a white stone, I like the first one much better ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m partial to the Daussi, with double halo…because I have one! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Mine has a yellow diamond center though.

@KatyElle:  I was just thinking about that other bee’s ring with the canary diamond and double halo, too! It’s gorgeous!

@musician32992:  I really like both of the settings you posted. Even though I do not have a halo and generally prefer settings that best feature the center stone, I don’t think that the double halo you like takes anything away from the center stone. If I had to choose, I think I would choose the double halo setting, primarily because of the smaller spacing within the split shank. Somehow, the setting with the double halo looks more beautiful and elegant to me when I compare these two settings.

One halo is enough, two and I think it looks like you’re trying to make the center stone look much bigger than it is… unless it’s huge. Don’t mean to offend, just giving my opinion!

I like double halos when each of the halos have stones in different sizes. This usually makes it look like more of a flower. My e-ring is as such, actually! Otherwise, I love the moissy model from moissaniteco. Leave it as is! It’s gorgeous. Get a large center stone if you want a large setting ๐Ÿ˜‰

@KatyElle:  Agreed.  Only a fan of very specific double halos, especially if colored stones are involved.

OP, I like the first ring you posted a lot better.  However, if that second one is something you’re ABSOLUTELY IN LVOE WITH, then see if you can get it customized.

On some rings, double halos are really amazing, and in some it just looks like bleh. I do love the double halo ring you posted, but I prefer the single halo better. ๐Ÿ˜€

I think you should check them out at local jewelry stores.  They’re much more delicate than the pics. I like them both. Eeeny meeny miny mo it!

I think it depends on what look you’re going for and the situation! I really like the idea of double halos, but I think they work best with a smaller center stone or when there’s some sort of contrast (either in shades of gold on the halo, or a colored center stone). I think if you have a big center stone and two halos, that might look like a bit much, and if it’s all in white gold and clear stones, the details may get lost anyway.

I think both rings are beautiful, though, and I think you should stick with moissanite if you are morally opposed to the diamond industry! Either way, you’re going to have a gorgeous ring and I would love to see pictures of it on your finger once it arrives!

I like the look of the first one better. The halo is complementing the stone instead of competing with it.

If you’re always going to wonder about it, I would go custom ๐Ÿ™‚  Both are gorgeous, though!
