So, I am a hair dye fanatic. I have had my hair colored since the 7th grade (and no, mom did not approve).
I am naturally a light to medium brown. I have gone to blonde to black and back. Currently, I am a strawberry blonde with low lights to keep it natural looking. I am a risk taker but only to a point. No big streaks or artistic colors.
With my wedding coming up, I don’t know what hair color I want to become a wife as.
Any of you trying to figure out if you should go back to your roots or back to a color you loved?
Let me know your thoughts….

I am also a hair dye addict. I have naturally jet black hair but with my olive skin, I’m always highlight/lowlighting/putting red highlights in… someone… I don’t think dying your hair for the big day is a problem, I would just try and keep it subtle. I’m going to go back to a dark brown with soft lowlights so my hair won’t be my natural color but it won’t be blaringly obvious that I’ve dyed my hair! Best of luck!

- Wedding: September 2009 - City Hall
I’ve been natural for 2 years. And it’s killing me!! I have the hairdye bug, bad… but I’m waiting till after the wedding. I’m naturally an auburn brown/red head. Think I’m gonna go brighter red post-wedding.

I haven’t done anything to my hair since end of October or early November of LAST year. So my stylist and I talked about it. She said that my hair will be healthier come close to the wedding date. BUT I mentioned to her the other day that the coloring that I got fall of last year has grown out about 4 inches. So next month I’m going in for a color & subtle highlights. I think I’m going a bit darker.
AFTER the wedding, I’m getting my hair cut. I’ve not had it this long since I turned 18. Its at my shoulder blades now!

I would look back at photos of yourself in different hair colors – since you have tried many colors- and choose a color that you feel your best in. Then make an appointment at your salon to do the hair color. If its a lighter color then your current color make sure to talk to the stylist about possible hair damage with lightening. Im sure whatever color you choose you will be a beautiful bride!!

i now have virgin hair, but back in high school i was blonde to near black (Im italian with olive skin and a medium chestnut colored hair) and I found now my best look is my natural color. Id take a look at photos like Julie above said, and pick what you loved the most and felt like yourself the most in. good luck 🙂

Ironically, I went back last night and looked at some old photos. As much as I love the drama of the black and blonde phases I think the most natural and most flattering was the colors similar my natural hair color.
I think I am going to grow out what I have for as long as I can and just balance it with low lights as needed. Hopefully that will get me close to my natural color and ready for the big day.
