In my experience, most ICU’s won’t let sick or potentially contagious nurses/care givers/docs around their patients since they’re at higher risk – so you might just want to see what the shift supervisor thinks?

Edit; Just saw your last post.  The joys of working in the health care field…  That’s an awful position to be in.  Personally, I stay home when I’m sick to I don’t get others and patients ill.  That can be hard to do depending on the policy of the hospital though.  I hope you feel better soon!

I would say rest, make sure you are at least 99% better and then go back! They will be able to deal without you – they have for 2 weeks!!!

I say stay home. See how you feel tomorrow or the day after that. That’s a grueling shift to work, especially after being sick for so long. Feel better!
