I am getting married in 3 weeks an I have a question for the hive. I wrote our ceremony and a dear friend of ours is going to officiate for us. She will not be able to memorize the whole thing so I need to put it into some sort of book for her. Any idea’s? I don’t want her to just hold a stack of papers. Do you have any creative ideas for making an elegant book for her to read our ceremony from?

What about going to a thrift shop and buying an old leather bound book, then just putting the papers inside it?

My officiant used a nice black binder – it worked well!

You could write it in a small journal but honestly, I can’t remember what the officiant was holding at any wedding I’ve been to. I’m looking at the bride and groom and maybe a little at the wedding party but not watching the officiant.

You might want to ask the officiant if they prefer a table style (meaning, 1-page) or a binder style (open book). They may feel it’s easier to hold one over the other….
I know if it was me, I’d prefer a tablet type one because it would be easier for me to hold.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Bride 16 makes a good point, but I’m a crazy 3-weeks-till-my-wedding-and-every-detail-matters! kind of wound up right now, haha. I love the old book idea. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
