Plan your life as if you won’t be pregnant when that vacation/adventure arrives.  That way, you won’t miss out on anything.  And if you are pregnant then you simply cancel or modify your plans!

We’re not even TTC yet,  and I still have this mindsEt.  I just want a baby so badly that I manage to convince myself I’m pregnant, we have missed of non things because I’M “sure I’m oregnant, so we can’t do that, it’ll harm the baby”. Have I ever been pregnant? No! Was there ever really even a chance I was pregnant? No! The female psyche is messed up! Lol but good luck, and I hope you find a way to let loose and enjoy your pre-baby-hood

Nah..I mean I’m not going to drink until I get my period each month…but I’m not going to stop certain activities that you probably wouldnt do while pregnant….

In the first trimester…you can typically still do anythign you did before, as long as there is relativley small risk of thigns flying towards your belly…After the first trimester they don’t want you to do things that require balance..(because your balance won’t be what it was once you start showing)….so yeah, I wouldn’t put your life on hold.

Thank you for posting this!  I feel like the phrase, “well, if I’m pregnant at that time..” has ruled my life since October and it is starting to get to me.

I stood in a wedding in May and when we shopped for bridesmaid dresses in November, I bought a size up thinking I’d be at a certain number of weeks and guess what, I had a massive dress that I had to pay a lotof money to be altered!  Big mistake, totally embarassing and a lesson to learn.  Right now I’m training for a 10k race in September and while I usually run 5k races I’m still training for the 10k race.  If I’m pregnant, I probably can still run, if I can’t, I will just drop down to the 5k.  But if I’m not expecting and I didn’t train, I would be really disappointed in myself.

@Sbee82: this just happened to me today. I do photography as a part time income (mostly family, engagement, kids etc) but today I was asked by TWO different couples I did epics for if I would shoot their weddings. One is in 2015, the other in 2014. We are actively TTC for the past 4 months and I couldnt help but wonder if I should or shouldnt sign a contract with them! I know theres no guarentee how long it would take and I would definitely love the money but I guess if I am pregnant or have a newborn I could easily have another equally talented photographer step in for me…
