I was diagnosed with and treated for an ectopic pregnancy in May of this year. My levels are finally under 5 after 8 weeks. My OB has suggested waiting to TTC for three months after the shot, so technically I have another month before we should start trying again.
We did get pregnant our first cycle ttc and I know it could take months to get pregnant again after all this but am cautiously confident that we can get pregnant again quickly. I wish we could start trying now as this process have taken two-three months from us. (Also didn’t want to be big pregnant during the summer, but if we get pregnant in the next couple months I will be 😐)
In the mean time, she has offered the option of doing an hsg to ensure both tubes are clear. Should I do it? Does it put off the ttc timeframe anymore? It would probably give me peace of mind to know the tubes aren’t blocked considering I had zero risk factors for ectopic pregnancy prior to having an ectopic pregnancy.
