I’m stuck. This is the second time I’ve ordered this pair of shoes from BHLDN, and both times one shoe came with blemishes. This time it’s slightly scuffed, last time it had a deep cut.
I definitely felt that the cut was bad and sent the shoes back. Now the next pair has a scuff. I am aware that the satin will likely scuff as I wear them, but that’s AFTER I start wearing them, not BEFORE.
So I’m wondering whether it’s worth the gamble to send the 2nd pair back and order a 3rd pair. There’s no guarantee the next pair will be better (or pristine). What would you do?

I would show them the scuff and the cut ones, and ask for a discount. Tell them you can’t be sure the next one they send will be any better, since the first two were not.

I agree with RoxanneV, contact and let them know about the scuff and ask for a portion of your cost to be refunded. Good luck!

Are your shoes gray? I looked on BHLDN and couldn’t find them.

OP: I would definitely contact them! I’ve had problems like this with other companies and they were more than willing to give me a huge discount (: If I was paying $310 for a pair of shoes I would want them to be perfect and definitely wouldn’t let it go.

At first I thought “nobody would ever notice that but her!” but then I looked at the price of the shoe. I would be expecting perfection for that price too! Definitely contact them! What on earth are they doing to these pricy shoes before shipping them?!?! Dropping them on the floor?

I would at least demand a discount. If they have decent customer service, they should give you one no problem. Otherwise, I would return them and look elsewhere.

Oh man, I’m saddened to hear that quality control is an issue with bhldn, especially with what they charge! I have been admiring those shoes that you bought for a long time!

I called them yesterday, and they only offered me a 10% discount – which I think is not enough. So I’ve decided to send them back and gamble. I want them so badly.
@pengoala: I’ve ordered dresses from BHLDN and been very satisfied with quality and customer service. Shoes have been the exception. So it might take a bit more than that to sour me on them.

Oh wow. Hate for them to actually compensate for their issue.
Honestly, with handmade items being the exception, I expect all my new things to be in perfect condition when I buy them. That’s kind of the point of buying things that haven’t been worn, there shouldn’t be any wear and tear. Lol
I always return/exchange things with blemishes since I know I’m going to dent or knick said I need to start with a clean slate!

I would totally send them back! Do you have to pay shipping to return them? If so, definitely try to get that money back. You shouldn’t have to pay to return damaged items.
