I feel the same.. I don’t think I will sell. The moment doesn’t mean as mucho me as pulling the dress out and reminiscing!

Think of the joy you had in this dress. You can give that to someone on their wedding day. Maybe they can’t afford the dress brand new, but second hand they can.

I plan on selling,  don’t see the point in keeping something you literally can never wear again.

Although I know a lot of people are sentimental and would like to pass down,  though I would never have wanted or considered my mums dress.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I haven’t had my wedding yet, so I’m sure my feelings will change but I am only going to wear the dress once! There’s no where else you can wear a wedding dress so….maybe I will sell it? Or maybe I’ll keep it and I’ll just randomly put it on to remember what it feels like to look so beautiful…not sure yet I guess.

I’ve been trying to sell mine for 6 months, so be prepared to wait a while for it to go! Mines up for sale for £1000 less than i paid for it and i get plenty of interest but no sales 🙁

waterlilly15:  I kept my dress, and just got it preserved. I never even thought to selling it. Honestly.

It was nice to have my mom’s dress still around at my grandparents house – she made my garter out of some of the fabric. It was my somtheing old.

I made our Christmas tree skirt out of my wedding dress. I get to pull it out every year and remember our wedding day but now I also think about our life since that day and the family that came from our marriage.  I also made pine sachets from the leftover scraps that I sent along with our thank you cards. With all that I still have the dress. It’s knee length now and a new color. I could wear it if I ever could find an occasion for a very puffy strapless pink dress.

If you feel emotional attachement to it, keep it a while longer… You can repurpose it too. Maybe make a ready bear out of it. Or a pillow… If your thinking babies, how about a dress or suit? Christening outfit (dare I say)… Or you could vow to wear the dress every year and go to a diiferent place and have your picture taken for fun every anniversary… Sorry, I’m a little far out there sometimes! Lol!
