12. Taking the Garter Off: Chariots of Fire Theme Song…Darling Husband ran slowly to me, eventually took it off, and when the big crescendo came he raised it up in the air. haha it was hilarious! I got that idea by another bee!

13. Putting the garter on the girl: Jaws theme song. another good moment to witness!

One of my favorite things about planning the wedding was picking these songs! I had a blast!

3.  First Dance – “That’s how strong my love is” – Otis Redding

4.  Father/Daughter Dance – “Stand by Me” – Ben E King (not set in stone yet also looking at Ingrid Michaelson’s cover of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”)

5.  Mother/Son Dance – Not sure yet. Fiance wanted “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire by Future Mother-In-Law wants something a little smoother

6.  Cake Cutting- Not sure yet

7.  Last Dance – “Don’t Stop Believing” – Journey

8.  Last Song – “You are the Best Thing” – Ray Lamontagne

And any other special moments you will have/had set to music! I don’t know about special moments but we definitely want “A Love Like You” by the Avett Brothers and “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to be played at some point.

@totheislnds:  Yaa love all the country music – we are also doing A LOT of country at our wedding! I am also dancing to “I loved her first” for my father/daughter dance and our first dance will be to “Then” by Brad Paisley!

1.  Bride & Groom Intro/ Bridal Party Intro – Black eyed peas – Gotta Feeling

3.  First Dance – Israel Kamakawiwo’ole – Somewhere over the rainbow

We danced the 1st 2mins then I danced with dad, Darling Husband danced with his mum & bridal party danced as it is a long song!  It was very special as everyone was singing it as we danced ๐Ÿ™‚

8.  Last Song – Lou Reed – Perfect Day

We had this playing when the MC announed our departure.  When we left everyone started singing it to the music as we said our goodbye’s and walked down the steps to the departure car.  We heard people sighing and saying it was a perfect song to end on ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a lot of fun and our DJ was amazing!  He worked all of our oddball requests (Zydeco Boogie, anyone?) into the night and kept us all on the dance floor!

@girlwiththeredhair:  get ready for tears! hahah i def cried during the father daughter dance, and i cry eveytime the song comes on the radio haha.I’m a huge country music fan – luckily it fits well with weddings.

@MlleBrielle:   @LGenz:  I love that so many people used Michael Franti! i’m a huge fan – i’ve seen him at least 3 times in a very small venue here. If you ever get a chance to see him live DO IT!
