In my constant wedding ring search I have started to see two routes people take… I really want our rings to be matching each other like a set. i am not attaching mine to my e ring, i plan to move the e ring to the other hand. So what about you ladies, are your grooms going to match you?

My Fi wanted, in exact words, a "wedding band that looks like it was made on the World of Warcraft."
Hell no, I didn’t want mine to match his!

LOL Mrs. Spring! I can see Darling Husband saying that.
One of our best friends wanted the "precious" ring from LOTR. I believe his wife, his parents and their whole family vetoed that one!

He’s using a family ring (yellow gold with a pattern on it) and I’m just goign to buy a plain white gold band so his is going to be a little more fancy than mine actually!

Oh sorry, forgot to answer OP’s question.
I wanted an eternity band and Darling Husband wanted a very simple band since he’s not used to wearing jewelry so ours did not match, other than the metal. We both exchanged platnimum wedding bands.

Ours will be different metals (probably) but look similar and be by the same designer. I have platinum and he’ll have white gold. They don’t match exactly, but I’m glad for it as I don’t want his looking too feminine!

Ours kind of match. I had mine custom made to fit my ering and it has milgrain around the edge in addition to other designs. When we found one for him it had milgrain too. But it wasn’t intentional. We each just wanted to get something we liked.

We’re going to try to match ours.
I don’t know if you could call this a "problem", but right now he wants damascus steel, and I want mokume-gane. They both look like wood. SO COOL.

My husband found a ring he loved and I found one that had very similar styling to his, and it looks good with my e-ring. It meant a LOT to him that ours have some connection to each other.

I’m thinking not. Mr. MJ is gravitating toward yellow gold styles, whereas I’m a white-gold gal. So they’ll be different, but that’s fine with me!

Our rings don’t match. Darling Husband deisgned my wedding band with my jeweler with seven stones to signify the 7 years we were together when we got married. I actually tried to get Darling Husband to put some diamonds in his band – but he was not interested in any of that ‘fancy stuff". Nope…Mr.K is a very practical sort of guy and he knew right away he wanted tungsten carbide 8mm band. And that is just what he got. He loves his, i love mine, we are a happy family. I also must say that i love wearing my wedding band by itself but also love having the option to wear it with my Ering because they compliment eachother. There are pics of both our rings here: http://mf580398.googlepages.com/proposal
Good luck and happy planning.

Ours will be different metals (my engagement ring is platinum and we can’t afford two platinum bands), but matching. A plain milgrain band, no stones. I just have to find them now…

HAHAHA. a world of warcraft ring? awesome. Mine is a diamond band and my FI’s was custom made, so they definitely don’t match. But i love that we each get what we want!

On purpose and by choice. 🙂 I’m just not keen on yellow gold. I have so much pink in my skintone that I look awkward with it. His skintone is the same as mine. It just works. 😀

he’s wearing a plain silver band that I already had (with lots of sentimental value)… he took it out of my jewelry box one day and put it on as a joke, and now he wears it all the time even though we’re not actually married. he just tells people it’s a male engagement ring.
I’m not sure if I’m getting plain or something with rocks in it. but they definitely won’t be matching metals.
