I don’t think the bulkyness of the ring helps. I’ve seen ones from the same vendor look beautiful but the first one is a bit chunky for my taste. Look at pictures other bees have of their rings in real life to help you choose. Larger stones will show more colour than smaller stones regardless of which upgrade you get. I’d try on some smaller ones in shops if I were you and see how you feel. With a halo a 1ct gives a big look!

I agree that a 2 carat sized moiss will probably show color regardless of enhancement.

The 2ct looks very large on you! It’s only too large if you think it is ๐Ÿ™‚

@V_for_Vixen:  I think the larger the moissy, the more color it will show.  I personally don’t care for large rings with a bulkier design, so my opinion is biased.  I have a 6mm moissy that doesn’t really show yellow/warm color, but I think this is because it’s under the 1 ct size.  I purchased my setting/stone from a local jeweler though.

@V_for_Vixen:  Yes – that style looks much nicer on your finger!  Good luck with your moissy. Glad you are trying different styles – it’s amazing how different the ring looks in real life.  I don’t have one, but the ones I’ve seen on the bee are beautiful!  Keep us posted.

As a foreigner I’m probably biased, but I think those rings look like Amercian Class rings, which I think are the godamned ugliest chunkified things I’ve ever seen!

I have fingers just like yours, my hand is the same size as your average 9 year olds.  I got a half carat diamond ring originally, thought it looked absolutely stupid on my tiny fingers, took it back and now rock a 0.25 carat diamond solitaire…which is F colour, ideal cut and flawless.  I get so many compliments on it, without exception people think the stone is larger than it is.

I would go smaller, and with less detail.

I think the new ring you have chosen is still on the bulky side. Your CZ seems much more fitting. Also, I don’t have either of the enhancements on my moissanite, but since it’s 1.25 ct equivalent, it still didn’t look as yellow as that one. My halo does nothing to bring out the color of the center.

I think the best way to go for stone color and for appearance on your hand is a less chunky halo with a slightly smaller stone. A 2 carat in a halo is large as it is, let alone in a chunky ring. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

I am a fan of 1.25ct to 1.5 ct. Anything bigger IMO seems a little bulky in a halo setting. This is my 1.25ct Amora Moissy ๐Ÿ™‚

MOISSY for SURE….I have a 7.5mm (1.5 carats) and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.  WHen looking for settings, my fiance and I went into a chain jewlery store.  We told the lady we had the stone and was looking for a semi-mount.  I fell in love with a setting, and the lady asked if we had the stone on us so we could see the finished product.  The lady looped it, tested it for hardness, looped it again, microscoped it and then asked another coworker to come look at it.  WHen she returned she told us “I am in love with this diamond….it is near perfect and if i had 35,000 for you, I would buy it from you” SO ya…if you find the right moissy….it will stun all.

@V_for_Vixen It seems like this last circulating batch of Amora moissies that I have seen are particularly yellow :/   I just got a FB cushion and it is divine!  The only time it is yellow is in our livingroom which is a blue/gray/purple color. Moissanite absorbs colors that are in the blue spectrum, reflecting yellow, hence the butteryness in our livingroom.  In your first pictures, maybe you took them under a bluish type of fluorescent lighting perhaps?  I agree that the first ring looks pretty bulky.  I really do like the size of the CZ temp ring you have, but I’m personally not a fan of a bezel setting.

I would recommend trying to order a FB stone and see how you like it in different lighting.  These new FBs I’m seeing look very white and crisp ๐Ÿ™‚
