@V_for_Vixen Ooops! I misread your post! I see that you did have a forever brilliant upgrade, not the amora. Hmm… maybe because of the 2 ct size it looks more yellow? My 1.4 FB cushion is REALLY white. As I said above, it could be the lighting or possibly due to its surroundings… do you by chance have a blue cell phone case?

@V_for_Vixen: Hi! I have a 7.5mm un-enhanced center stone moissy from moissyco and I absolutely love it. This is the pic on their site…http://www.moissaniteco.com/round-moissanite-channel-semibezel-engagement-ring-060ct-p-5126.html
It is clear and so vibrant! I was so excited about moissanite and was so glad I chose it when I saw my ring for the first time. The only time it seems yellowish is in really low light and in my bathroom but I have brownish/mustard colored walls in there. The ring is lovely, the craftmanship looks fantastic and I could not be more pleased. Here she is on my finger 😉
BTW, my ring is a size 7.25.

@V_for_Vixen: Well what did you end up doing? Pics of the new ring?

I would say no to a moissy ring. We bought a 1.5 carat oval diamond set in platinum only after saving up and being careful about how we spent the money. Later, if we want, we can upgrade and get the full value we paid for this ring. I chose platinum because it’s the most “bang” for your buck…it’s more pure than gold, white or yellow. We have it insured for a mere $120/year and the replacement value is triple what we actually paid. The oval shape gives the illusion of a bigger diamond…I have a channel set platinum band to go with it for the big day that doesn’t take away from the e-ring, but compliments it instead.
This is a ring we could afford. I looked at man-made diamonds that were 2.5-3.0 carats…they weren’t believable at all. My FH has no problem with me upgrading at a later date to something bigger…in fact, he encourages it! LOL – good luck in your choices. I wish you a very happy marriage!
