    I don’t think the sample necessarily had a petticoat sewn in, but even a small hoop makes it so much easier to move around.

    I LOVE big skirts so I’ll always say go for a petticoat. 😀

    Pretty gown!  I think a hoop skirt would be best.  They don’t touch your body and are much cooler.

    I have to agree with the PPs. A standard hoop will add the fullness you like, but won’t add weight or be against your body making you hotter. By The Way, beautiful dress!

    That’s a lot of heavy fabric. It definitely needs some structure underneath.
