I am only concerned that people will spend all their time in there and not dancing, which would be a bummer because I love to party and dance but I think the booth would add an element of fun that I want to incorporate (sorry about the run on). We would only get it for 3 hours…debating it!

alliegeeb : We are doing it for 30mins before ceremony & our cocktail hour, for this reason specifically. I believe all together 2 hours! We didn’t want to draw guest attention away from the party during our toasts, dinner, dancing, etc. Having it for cocktail hour allows for something fun and memorable but doesn’t take away from our reception!!

I think it depends on the crowd and what other entertainment you have. For most weddings I feel like they really aren’t neccessary because you can have just as much fun with an open bar, dance floor, and great music (which you pay a lot for)- and that creates more of a party environment. I do think it is a good idea for large weddings (300+ people), as it gives another activity to do- everyone wouldn’t be able to fit on the dance floor in a wedding like that at the same time.
