shawnda.benton08: Your dress will be fine. In my humble opinion, you are not expected to blend in to be part of the color scheme. Do they seriously think you are limited to purple, gold or lime for your dress?

I like the dress by itself but I do agree that it would clash with your chosen wedding colors. What color(s) are you thinking of having your bridal party in? How about the groom?

The bridesmaids will be in short in sleeve purple dresses and my groom will either do black or ivory with a gold accent…he hasnt made up his mind yet.

I think it will look fine with the colors you are planning. What color is your bridal party going to be wearing?

That dress is stunning! Guests aren’t expected to blend in with a color scheme and that never looks like it clashes so I don’t think you would either. It looks amazing on you and I think the color adds a flare that fits with your theme even if the color isn’t part of your color scheme

I personally think that it will clash with your colors, especially your bridesmaids’ dresses. Of course they won’t be attaches to you at the hip or anything, but still :/. If you’re not stuck on that theme or those colors already, you can still have an awesome party! It’s the people that bring the party, not the decorations! Good luck though because that is beautiful dress on you!!

If your bridal party wears a dark purple or gold, that will be fine. I wouldnt do green though.
I think these gold bridesmaid dresses would look good with your pink dress!

I say go for pink 🙂 it sounds like you really love it, and honestly, you’re the bride, you’re supposed to stand out! It’s very beautifull and what better way to really say party than with a gorgeous statement dress? Don’t feel pressured for a white dress if it’s not what you want. No one’s going to sit back and say ‘Gee, that pink clashes with the napkins’.
