    I didn’t vote because your poll is worded very strangely.  I personally did a pocketfold invite, however, my vote for you is whatever you want, it’s just an invitation, and both ways can be equally beautiful.

    @mrsedwardslpn:  I did a DIY paperfold (I think you can look at them in my DIY in my profile), they ended up being about $3.15 per invite, and then $1.22 each to mail.  So, it’s definitely an expense, and really guests are likely just going to look at the info and toss it.  If you plan to DIY them, just make sure you’re doing it to please yourself.

    I certainly could have printed off a one pager or sent out an email and been done with it, but they made me happy, so I did them that way.

    I’m doing a pocketfold — the ones I am getting are $2 each. My invites are costing pennies to print — my entire invite buget will be pocketfolds and postage! No shame.

    PS I would never in a million years attempt to do this myself, but I am a destroy-it-yourself bride, so if you think you can handle it, more power to you!

    @primcess:  LOL!  I call myself a YDI bride “You do it” 🙂

    I wouldn’t take this on either…we didn’t do pocketfolds but did do DIY invites and it was a pain in the arse and took us a year (seriously).

    @icetea:  exactly!

    I designed my own invites and will have them printed and then I will assemble them, but there is very little DIYing involved, so I think I will be able to handle it.

    I DIY’d my pocketfolds, total cost was $2.89 each including the $0.65 postage.

    @mrsedwardslpn:  That’s how I felt, and why we were able to “splurge” on the pocketfold. I think it lends a little something nice and extra to go along with the fairly simplistic invites I designed.

    @mrsedwardslpn:  LOL don’t let me be an example….like I said we super suck at this stuff.  We only had 50…but good grief it sucked for us.
