- Wedding: July 2013
So I’ve been engaged for a while now (a year and a half). When Fiance first proposed, he got me a size 7 e-ring. It was so big on me that it fell off in some wrapping paper on christmas and I accidentally threw it out before I realized it was gone… oops! Thankfully, we found it and it wasn’t covered in garbage.
So I went to the jeweler to get it resized after that fiasco and the jeweler told me that I should resize it to a 6. To me, the size 6 ring fit a little snug–it was a tad uncomfortable to take off and it was the dead of winter so I wasn’t sure how it would be in summer. So I got a 6.25 against his better judgment. And it was fine for almost a year…
And then I lost 30+ pounds. Now it’s pretty big–it never stays upright and if I shake my hand downward it will fall to my knuckle. I haven’t had it actually fall off (since that christmas), but I’m a little scared it will.
When I bought my wedding band a month or so ago, I got a size 6, but it could probably stand to be a little smaller as well.
So, it is a little big, but it’s only starting to not be freezing out and my hands will swell in the summer, right? Should I get it resized now or should I wait until it gets warmer? My other concern is that I’m getting married in July (and will stop dieting haha!) sooo while I’m not planning on gaining weight after the wedding, it’s possible haha.
What should i do? How does your e-ring fit? Did any of you lose weight and have to get your e-ring resized? I didn’t even know I could lose that much weight in my fingers!
