    Personally, I don’t think seating is necessary. I think it’s a huge headache. I feel like if they want a good seat they need to get there early! 🙂

    We had five reserved tables that seated 10 at each — one for my mom/family, my dad/family, FI’s mom/family, FI’s dad/family, and one for guests of our wedding party. That ensured that the most important people had a good view of hte head table!

    I think it depends on the size of the wedding.  I’d say with under 50 or so people you are okay without, but with more than that it can get a a little chaotic.  The worst without seating experience I’ve had is when me and my friend ended up at an 8-10 person table by ourselves. That was awkward.
