I sold mine–I actually didn’t put it up for sale or anything, someone here on the Bee saw my pics and sent me a PM wanting to buy it from me.  I think it’s great that a beautiful dress can be enjoyed by more than one bride, and who knows when you’ll have a daughter, what size she’ll be, what kind of dress she’ll want to wear for her wedding, and how well the material of the dress would hold up over decades of saving it.  Sell it and go on vacation with your hubby!

I’m debating the same thing.  But I’m pretty sure I’ll keep mine.  My mom still has my grandma’s dress & hers as well.

I just don’t think I could sell mine. All of the memories in it and then it is just gone and you can’t ever look at it again unless it’s in photo or video. I can’t 🙁

I sold mine. I thought about keeping for a hot second then I realized that it would just take up a room, never be worn again, could be sold for a pretty penny (and it was), and I didn’t want to kid myself with thinking that I *might* have a daughter one day who *might* actually like the look of a dress that’s 30 years old. I have tons of pics and they look great. That’s all I needed. The dress money went to help pay for our honeymoon.

i’m trying to sell mine right now. i debated whether to keep it or not but decided i’d rather get some money for it. i don’t have anywhere to store it and i’ll never wear it again.

Do you need the money? I’d keep it if you don’t.

@ForeverYoung:  You could always donate it to a good cause, something like Brides Against Breast Cancer.

I am not selling mine. I plan to put it in a shadow-box type of thing and display it. I have no idea what dress I am getting yet, but there is no way I am going to spend hard earned money on a dress I don’t love and won’t want to keep
