Need your opinion hive. I received an invitation today to a bridal shower that I wasn’t really expecting. It’s for my fiances fathers cousins daughter. Quite a distant relation. She’s a nice person but she tends to invite people to parties only when gifts are involved, and who she otherwise has little to no interaction with. I don’t want to make assumptions but it seems like she knows most of these people won’t come and she wants to grab some gifts. She invited me to her baby shower earlier this year which I did attend and gave a nice gift for. One of my good friends is having her bridal shower the same exact day as this one so I cant go. Question is do I need to still send a gift?
If so should it be a full gift (usually spend $50 on shower gifts ) or just a small gift? I don’t want to seem cheap but I have a lot of events this summer and I hardly know this girl! To me bridal showers are more for close family and friends, not every female you know. I am not inviting her to my shower. Thanks!
