There’s nothing wrong with looking, but if your not willing to buy yet you cant take it seriously.  So no falling in love.  And yes they can be rude.  If you want you can always make a fake date, to avoid it.  BUt sometimes its inevitable.  Don’t say your experimenting because they’ll feel like their wasting their time.  Just say its not a decision to made so easily.  I started shopping about 2 months ago but have yet to find “it”.  I personally would wait longer cuz 2+ years is a super long time in wedding land.

I went to couture and high end salons (wait…one so-so salon that had Maggie Sottero and Justin Alexander, too) and no one was ever rude to me when I didn’t buy.  You can always just give them a date that’s 18 months or so in the future if they ask.

Each time I shopped in a salon, I found 2 dresses I liked.  The consultants just wrote the info on the back of a card and told me to call if I wanted to make another appointment.
