Okay so Fiance has his annual work party at the National Aquarium next weekend and I plan on wearing this dress that I’ve had for a while. I’ve toyed with the idea of shortening it for quite some time but have yet to bite the bullet. So what do you think bees, should I shorten or not? (I’m 5’3″ if that makes any difference. I’ll also be doing the alteration myself so it won’t cost anything.)
Shorter: (Ignore the wide-legged stance, it was the only way I could make the bottom layer stay up to look shorter. Haha)

Both look good – longer is a bit more conservtive, whereas shorter is sexier. By The Way – dress looks amazing on you either way!

for a work party I say keep it longer. PS…you have killer legs!

It’s cute! But I’d keep as is for the work party – plus, no work required that way!

For a work party, the longer is better. After the work party, the shorter is fine for going out to clubs and things, but that is just too short for a work event IMO.

It’s more appropriate for a work party longer, but you look amazing both ways! Great legs!

@tksjewelry: Agreed. Especially with the cleavage, keep it longer for the work party. Cut it short later! Looks great on you.

Longer may be more appropriate, but you haven’t shortened it to an inappropriate length either. I’d say wear it whichever way makes you feel more comfortable. Personally, I think it looks great either way, but I’d probably opt to wear it shorter. It’s not so short that people will comment and say, “OMG! Look how short her dress is!”

@Puppy Love: You look great but if it is work related you dont want to be deemed cheap or slutty. If it was a club i’d say go for it!

@Puppy Love: Another vote for longer! Cleavage + lotta leg is a bit too much for a work party. Looks good the way it is now!

For a work party, especially not your own, I’d keep it long.

Keep it as is. It’s a perfect length, especially for a work party.

@Nic01: Thanks! It’s an oldie but a goody 😉
@Lily_of_the_valley: Thank you!!! I was worried my legs looked a little stumpy with the ankle straps.
Thanks ladies! I know your right I just tend to lean towards the slightly sexier a lot of the times. Good to have you to keep me in check! Haha
@Christy42213: I didn’t think so either. On the other hand I have definitely been the one saying “OMG…yikes”. Haha
Thanks ladies! It’s definitely got some cleave, I thought taking the pads out would help and it did but not as much as I thought it would! Haha, long it is! 🙂

One more question ladies! Necklace or no necklace? I’d like something to slightly “detract” from the cleavage but I’m not sure if a necklace will detract from it or accent it. Thoughts?

@Puppy Love: I think a necklace would be lovely. As long it isn’t too too long and dipping down into your cleavage, you should be fine.
