Absolutely not. But I’m cheap and will only spend up to $100 on shoes because I don’t see the point of spending more. Like others said, they just get beat up and I don’t see the point. Save the money and spend it on something else! Like a plane ticket, a nice hotel room for a few nights, a laptop…basically ANYTHING else haha

everythingpink :  I was in the same place as you when I was wedding shoe shopping. I really wanted to splurge major on some $2000 Louboutins but alas, my fiance thought I was insane and everyone on the bee told me not to because no one can see your shoes anyway.

And the truth is, no one saw my shoes. Like…no one. The photographer had me lift up my dress to get a quick shot of them, but other than that, they got no play. Soooo…had I spent the $2k on my Louboutins…it would have been a complete waste as no one would have even seen them.

So unless you’re wearing a short dress and will wear them every other day for the next 5 years…I say don’t do it!!

They are gorgeous, I’d love a pair, but I hardly ever wear highheels and those seem pretty high to wear for an entire day.

I bet the money could be better spent. Good luck!

maybe its just my un-girly-ness but those look like any other cheap pair of shoes, certainly not special enough for a grands worth of my money – I nearly bought ones in cream with the same sort of diamate broach on the front the other day for £5

but then I dont get jimmy choo or vivien westwood either… just paying a rediculous amount for a name and people dont even know because the tag is inside and your standing on it

everythingpink :  I am voting No, only because I think the shoes are a little plain looking and might only end up being worn once or twice. I am a shoe addict and as hard as it was to say to no to designer wedding shoes, I opted to purchase a nice reasonable amount pair for the wedding and then purchased a pair of louboutins that I know I will get more use out of – i considered it a wedding gift to myself 😉

I would never spend $1K on a pair of shoes but I don’t have the passion for shoes that some women have (DSW suits me just fine!). Plus, they look pretty uncomfortable and I bet they spend more time sitting under the table than on your feet.

People pay thousands of dollars for wedding gowns, and my veil was $500. I had three pairs of wedding shoes that added up to more than $500. So, I won’t think you’re ridiculous if you buy them. However, I don’t think I would want to buy them if I could get these stunning Badgley Mischka pumps for about $125-$150.

ETA:  Here is another style that I found, too.

    Those are not worth $1000.

I love some jimmy choo, so I get it. If you have the budget and you will wear them more often, go for it!

skunktastic :  +1.  For $1k I’m gonna need that shoe to come equipped with a jet pack.  Seriously it’s 2016, where’s my pink satin heeled jet pack.

It’s pretty but it’s not even leather, I can’t fathom spending that much money on something I’m going to get dirty in 17 seconds.

I would look for them on poshmark or the real real to buy used.  I think manolos are worth their steep price. They are beautifully made and comfortable.  You could wear them to your shower and rehearsal dinner too.  And you could wear them for anniversary dinners after the wedding or sell them on a consignment site.  If you can’t find them used, check saks and Nieman Marcus sites often for their promotions.  They do “spend $500/1000 and get $100 off or get a $100 gift card” type of promotions a few times a year and they usually don’t exclude manolos.  I usually wait for those promotions to buy expensive shoes.

I’m a SATC fan as well so I totally get you!!! If it is in your budget, go for it!  Since you wear high heels you will more than likely wear them again. I also like the idea of wearing them on your anniversary!

Just for fun, Miranda’s wedding was my motivation. lol We had a beautiful Fall wedding in a rose garden!!! We added more elegance to our event and our reception was hosted at the InterContinental Hotel. It was gorgeous!!!

Now back to the shoes… Find the item(s) you want to splurge on and go for it as long as it is in your budget!!! I splurged on my wedding jewelry and have zero regrets!

    Have fun and good luck!!!!
