I’d never heard of those guys before. Nor do I think I even know what they look like. 🙁

Sounds like there will be a lovely view.  That sounds like all the decoration you need.

Eh. You don’t need them and no one will miss them if you don’t have them.

I agree with Marigold.  I actually think stanchions look a bit dated.

They’re nice but I don’t think you need them either.  I think its cool to do if you just have some extra time and money (I don’t know who has that but I’m sure someone out there does).  I don’t really remember being at a wedding when the couple used them… and I’ve been to a lot of weddings.

I would actually prefer the look without them.  Are you corraling cattle?  The majority of your guests, I would assume, are adults.  I’m sure they can keep order amongst themselves.  And if they were to be just for decoration,  I would do something like flowers on the end chairs or nothing at all.  No one will notice.

i like it better without them better. i think the ceremony is supposed to be simple decorations, so you can focus on what’s important.

I’d say you’re fine without them – you, Fiance and the oceanview are all they need! 🙂

I vote no.  Unless you did decide to decorate them.

I just really however don’t envision them as wedding-ey.

I would miss them, I actually think they stick out more.  A simple aisle is good, you dont need the stanchions.
