Your guy is right… people are gonna judge, and think he was TOO LAZY to shave
And in turn wonder about his “commitment” to the whole Wedding thing
“Sheesh, he couldn’t even get up the effort to shave… seriously, you got to wonder how important this is to him”
Sad, but true
I say he should shave the day of the Wedding, and then you two can get really cozy over the Honeymoon as he does whatever he & you decide is a turn-on.
Honeymoons are good that way
I LOVE stubble. Love it. So hot. It depends on the type of person you’re inviting to your wedding as to whether they will judge you, I’m not no one around here would notice or care about the groom facial hair. But you know your crowd.
He’ll look good no matter what so it should be his call.
My husband was worried about the same thing, but in the end he did what I preferred because I was his bride. He went with the stubble look 🙂
I was honestly thinking about having the exact same discussion with my Fiance. I definitely prefer the scruff and he typically shaves 1-2x/week (which is plenty for him). But, he typically shaves when he dresses up so I don’t know what he’ll think.
My Fiance has a full-on beard. I want him to look like himself on our wedding day. That’s why his beard is okay. I wouldn’t want him to grow one specifically for the wedding, but I don’t want him to change for the wedding either.
@MsLabRat: I don’t want to change my hair or makeup TOO much for the big day because that’s not me. The same should go for your Fiance. If he’s got the confidence; he should rock it.
