I originally wanted it down with big curls because “everyone” wears their hair up.

But I ended up with it all in a loose Up Do because how often do you get to have your hair done all pretty like that?  Plus Baltimore has horrid humidity in the summer, so having it down might’ve been a mess.

I get hot really easily, so I went with a loose-ish updo.

Which one do you think would look better with your dress?

I have a mass of curls with a halo of frizz, so no matter what I do, within a few hours it’ll be undone. I thought about straightening it because it would be less annoying, but a) as above, in a few hours it’ll just come undone and frizz out, and b) my beau won’t stand for it because he adores my curls. I also think about just wearing down and free the way I always do, with a clip or a headband to embellish it, because I want to look like myself, but it’s going to be hot and sticky and it’s just going to annoy me. So, now I’m pondering some sort of loose tieback or updo or something. Right now, while I’m trying to grow it out, it just looks godawful, so I can’t envision anything at all.

I never wear my hair up (it takes almost 100 pins to keep it up), so I really wanted to wear it down and curly (basically like I always wear it) and do it myself, but one of my BMs and FMIL want me to do my hair up, so I’ll at least do a trial.

I was struggling between an updo and wearing my hair down as well, and when I mentioned it to my fiance, he exclaimed “You are not wearing it down?!”  I said I wasn’t sure, and he said, a bit sadly “I love it down.  I want you to look like you.” That kind of melted my heart, and I ended up going with a compromise of sorts – a down and curley look sweat to one side.  I am really happy with it – it is off my neck, and special, but it is still down.  A half up look might work for you too 🙂

I’m wearing my down, I get super bad head aches even from my hair jsut being in a pony tail, so if I had a bunch of pins holding it up.. it would be bad!

@Hiya_Unicorn:  LOL, glad to see my fiance is not the only one.  I have stressed out about makeup a few times, and every time he tells me I just shouldn’t wear any!  Silly men 🙂

Maybe compromise and do a half-updo? Then everyone wins 🙂

Thats what I ended up doing. DH didn’t care, in fact I never asked him during the planning process, lol, but I struggled with the idea of up or down myself, so I found something in between (half updo) that I really liked. 🙂 Good luck!
