I’m super fair and I’ve never had a tan or had a spray tan should I step out of my comfort zone and spray? I’m afraid I’ll be so pasty I’ll glow on big day, or I’ll be so tanned I won’t look like me anymore. Any advice? This is pasty me.

Oh, I think you have a lovely complexion! Just beautiful! If you still want to consider tanning you could do a trial airbrush tan and tell them to go light so you have a bit of a glow.

I am also super pale…and given that Fiance is black, it’s super hard to photograph us together without him being shadowy or me being washed out.
But it is who I am! I’ll be embracing it

If I looked like you- I would NEVER tan! You are so adorable! (This is coming from a chick with very uneven skin tone who is tanning like a mofo right now to even it out…)

I would test it out this summer and see how you feel with it.
I have a very similar skin tone, just with a little lighter hair and green eyes. I don’t tan well at all unless I’m in it every day for only minutes at a time. I’m doing my best to stay completely out of the sun and won’t be fake or spray tanning or lotioning at all.

I’d say play up your paleness with some bright red lipstick and leave your skin as it is. No need to look like a different person for your wedding pics! Look at beautiful women like Dita Von Teese for makeup inspiration.

I would try the spray tan if I were you but make sure you do a trial at least three weeks before the wedding! I tan, but I try to do it minimally. It can really dry out your skin and I personally believe brides shouldn’t be super tan.

No tan!! Especially if you’ve never done it. You still want to look like you, you know? I have pale skin as well. Embrace that. Pale skin is beautiful!

@freckles5672: I thought about having a spray tan but have decided against it as I like how my dress looks on me without one and my pastiness is how I am.

I’m so glad to hear that not everyone is tanning Maybe I should just use a gradual tan moisturizer?

Nah I wouldn’t necessarily do that. Just be yourself. If you don’t wear tan normally you’ll pick a dress based on how it looks against your natural skin colour anyway. And I bet your Fiance loves you just the way you are.

Don’t change! Your skin is perfect! Seriously!

You’re beautiful— I love fair skin! I think it looks more elegant to be pale personally 🙂
