    Pricewise, can you afford to rent the tent and not use it if the weather doesn’t call for it? I know it’s the risk of paying for nothing, but if you don’t decide to rent the tent and then the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll be scrambling at the last minute to make new arrangements.

    We are kind of in the same situation, trying to figure out if we need a tent in case it rains. Like proudgeek mentioned, if you can afford it, rent the tent and if it doesn’t rain, don’t use it.

    Get the tent. I also had a backyard wedding at my grandparents… the tent was a MUST in the summer heat, and in case of rain. Plus, they can be really really beautiful.
