@FutureMrs.Spencer:  I agree with your statement that everyone has insecurities! I have never had a struggle with my weight BUT we all have insecurities. I have struggled with acne most of my life and most days I have my baby fine/thin hair that will do nothing.

Ladies I really enjoyed reading all your posts.

I don’t ever feel pretty…….I often wonder if I would feel pretty at a small size…but I don’t think size would make a difference to feeling pretty…..I don’t think its in my nature to feel that way. I don’t ever think of myself as sexy or pretty…however I do think I fall somewhere between butt ugly and attractive…..and thats ok with me!!!Tongue Out

I concentrate more on being well groomed and being well put together. I figure that I’m not ever going to be what society thinks of as being attractive so I concentate more on being groomed. I put together outfits and accessorise with shoes, bags and jewellry. I always have manicured hands and feet. My hair is always blow dried within an inch of its life. Being well groomed makes me feel happy and semi attractive!!

I Find that if i’m well groomed I get a better response from people….if I dress down i tend to find people treat me differently….Do you other plus size bees find that people treat you diffently when your dressed down???

@Elizabeth1990:  hehehe….glad to know its not just me!!! Its like if I wear a track suit out in public people look at me and assume I haven’t been to the gym exercising (their assumption is correct!!!Tongue Out) soo they figure I’ve been sitting on the couch all day watching TV and eating potato chips…..because isn’t that what overweight people do!!???…..so not fair… I bet a slimmer person would never get that kind of assumption thrown at them!!!

wow I wish I was like all of you girls, but I have to say, no, I do not feel pretty. I’ve battled weight all of my life and 5 years ago I gained 90 pounds that I have been unable to lose no matter what I do (hormone problems). I don’t feel like this body is “me” so I have a very hard time with it. I wish I knew how to accept it and love it but I just can’t (even with therapy). My upcoming wedding is sort of depressing me. I’m dreading being in a dress and being the center of attention. 🙁  Sorry to be so negative!

I’m not obese, but I am technically overweight. 190 @ 5’4″. Strangely enough, I’m only a size 10/12. BUT, I do pack a belly(not counting I just got pregnant!). Yet, I still wear tight clothing, still wear a 2 piece(when appropriate!), and while I don’t always feel sexy, I feel good about myself. I do question myself when I lose a couple pounds, and then gain it back. But I’m comfortable. Before the BFP, I was thinking more that I wanted to tone the weight I had, not lose it.

That being said, yep FH tells me all the time that I’m beautiful and sexy. I don’t always feel either one, but I do 95% of the time, LOL.

I AM concerned, however, about my dress. Even after we found out I was pregnant, FH decided he doesn’t want me to order my dress online. He wants me to pay the tag price @ DB. But, the baby will be exactly 3 months when we get married, so my intent is to buy the dress(which is a trumpet with a back zipper), and then if it doesn’t fit, just pay to turn it into a lace up back.

I do not feel pretty. My face is ok, and I like my hair. But my figure ruins it all. I’m very nervous about having all eyes on me on our wedding day :/

I’m 5ft1, and weigh 190lbs

I think everyone has insecurities.. if it wasn’t your weight.. it would be something else.

I’m overweight. I don’t really have issues with it.. until someone brings it up. People need to keep their comments to themselves and I think EVERYONE would feel awesome.

The worst? When I was 19, I worked at a burger king. Now, I weight ALOT, but I don’t look as big as I am [thank you HUGE calf muscles!]. I, at the time, wore a size 17 in juniors. Now, that’s big, but not HUGE, I currently wear a 20 juniors, or 18 women. ANYWAY – due to wearing the headsets, I came down with an ear infection. I went to the ER because the pain was AWFUL. The DOCTOR told me I got it because I was overweight. I was like.. orly? It was nothing to do with the headset I wear at work, huh? He quickly wrote me a prescription and sent me off. I hope he felt like a twit.

Overall, I do feel beautiful. I feel awesome, until someone tries putting me down. Then I just get right back up and keep on chugging!

My body.. sorry for the angle was taken in the bathroom at my work XD.

@niasg1:  he** yeah girl!  That’s the only way to be!  I ahve gone out with skinny friends back in ym single day and still pulled more men than they did because i have a good positive attitude and energetic.  When you are genuinely happy with yourself, it shows and men love women that aren’t scared to love themselves!

Honestly, I’ve never been self concious about my size 24 figure…that is until I started the wedding dress search in November. Not being able to find bridal salons that have my size has been really heartbreaking. Even the salons that do they only carry the specialized plus size dresses, which I feel isn’t what I want. Although most dresses come in big girl sizes, they are made for smaller girls, so salons don’t order them. Does anyone else feel that all plus size dresses look the same? Almost every single one has rouching over the tummy. And yes, it looks great on all of us… but I hate it for me! Anyways…rant over. No. I do not feel pretty at the moment.
