Can I ask a dumb question?  What do you mean we’re not anonymous?  Does that mean anyone could find out our names and who we are….by googling or something?  i know I sound totally ignorant here.  I thought you’d have to be a registered member to see the posts on here…

where can I go on the site and check my account information?  I’m nervous now.

@prshadow: Anything you post is available on the WWW. You don’t have to be a registered user to see posts. In fact, I discovered wedding bee while googling destination weddings =) If you are using a username that you commonly use on other blogs, e-mail addresses, etc. it’s pretty easy for someone to google you and find your threads.

I usually google myself and the topics I post on the most to see if I get any returns that would give away my identity.

If you google me, I am on quite a few different forums, but that is why I don’t tie personal names to my sites- I pronanly did on one, but everyone knows me on there as “such and such”. Tying me to real life owuld be kinda hard unless we have met before. Most of my friends don’t do internet forums- and I have a very small circle.

I totally understand your need to be more anonymous if possible.  I had about 250 posts here on Weddingbee (mostly here in waiting) under a different name that was much less anonymous (included my first name which isn’t a common one).  I decided I wanted to start again without my real name so closely attached.

Yay for a new name that you feel more comfortable posting under!  🙂
