I used to want one, but then I saw a video that showed mold and other nasty stuff inside them. No thanks x_x

MmeSilverBullet:  Absolutely worth it! I drink 1 or 2 coffees a day and use it everyday. My Fiance doesn’t drink coffee so it’s perfect for us. Making a pot of coffee would be a total waste.

I have the Keurig Mini and it’s awesome! It doesn’t take up much space and you get what you put in so it’s always the perfect cup, annnddd because it’s th smaller one it’s actually the cheapest. <3 Fave flavours are pumpkin space, hazlenut vanilla, vanilla, french roast, moca java + many more!

I don’t like the Kuerig machines because the water never comes out hot enough for me and the coffee is never strong enough for my taste. we have them all over the office so when I do make myself a drink, I usually have to use two pods.

Love love love mine! Though we bought it on Craigslist, so it cost us $50 rather than upwards of $100.

I have the small one for making one cup at a time and I LOVE it!!  I only ever drink one cup of coffee a day, so it is really great for me.  The only thing that’s annoying is if you have people over that want coffee and you want to make several at a time, it takes longer than just making one big pot in a traditional coffee maker.  But we also have a larger one at work with a water reservoir and its really nice, so quick!

Cory_loves_this_girl:  This is the only thing I worry about with the keurigs but once a week or so I boil a pot of water with a little vinegar and run a few cups through the keurig to clean it and then rinse it with a few cups of plain water, seems to work well and makes me feel better about the cleanliness of it.

MmeSilverBullet:  OKAY. The Keurig is made a lot better than your regular coffee pot, so it’s going to last you a lot longer. How much coffee do you drink? Do you drink a pot a day? Kcups are much more expensive than a container of ground coffee, and if you drink a lot of it, and if you drink it regular (black, or with a little cream–no fancy coffees) you need to by the KEURIG BRAND (off brand melted) refilleable holder, so you can put your own coffee in it and save yourself some cash. I suggest buying it anyway. It’s what I use, and I, for the most part, just drink regular coffee. I can buy a large amount of the coffee I like, spend the same amount as I would with the generic coffee pot, and use it in the Keurig. It makes good coffee. The only problem is, if you drink copious amounts of coffee… it’s not really practical, especially with the refillable do-dad (no idea what it’s called). You have to dump out the grounds, which isn’t always easy, and then fill it back up, and if you’re drinking cup after cup it’s just a waste of time. I still have two other coffee pots and a french press, so I can make a large amount of coffee when needed, or one nice cup with the Keurig–and, if you like fancy drinks, there’s an abundant amount of kcups you can buy to appease that desire. So anyway, yes, it’s worth the money, and I use it almost every day.

I had one and used to use it every day for my morning coffee.  The coffee is pretty weak and I only liked the barista French and Italian roast pods.  That’s it. The others are way too weak. I was the only one drinking coffee so didnt make sense to make a full pot.

I did use it for hot water for my tea (cheaper to buy tea bags than tea pods). I gave it to my mom because we bought an apartment and didn’t want it on my counter.  I used a French press and that made great coffee but now we have a fancy espresso machine.

MrsBuesleBee: French press = most underrated kitchen appliance.  I use mine everyday!

I think keurigs are convenient, but I don’t like their coffee selection, and think a french press makes a better coffee. I also think Keurigs are unneccessarily wasteful. All that packaging for one cup of coffee…I’d get an electric water heater and a french press instead.  It’s cheaper, and still super easy/convenient.  Plus you can buy ground coffee (or beans) from anywhere.

The only time I’ve liked Keurig coffee is from my friend’s parent’s machine where they had the reuseable cups and they packed their own coffee.  That way the coffee was freshly ground, they could make it stronger by putting more ground coffee in each cups, and the waste is waaaay lower.  Besides the generally weak and burnt tasting coffee, I hate that the plastic k-cups cause so much waste.

ETA:  yes to french press.  Or a good ol’ fashioned espresso maker.  I love mine!

It’s great for tea but I stick to my espresso machine for coffee.

I use mine everyday. I don’t even have a regular coffee pot anymore! I do use the My K Cup packs and fill them with regular coffee most of the time though to save money.
