Originally my Fiance and I were going to elope, but now we are having a small family only ceremony at San Francisco city hall followed by a private dinner. Obviously I wouldn’t wear a veil to elope. But now that we’re actually going to rent out the 4th floor and have family there it seems more like a “real” wedding, so I’ve been thinking about a veil. I feel like I want one because they make for GREAT photos and it’s the only time in your life that you can wear one (besides halloween) but I also think it would just be too much tulle (and too dramatic) and I’d really only wear it for maybe half an hour because I’d take it off for dinner. I can’t do a bird cage or anything because Fiance says they’re rediculous, if I did get a veil I’d either want an elbow length or chapel length plain tulle one.
Here’s my dress:

I think you could do any of those w/this dress. I’m no help! but I bet other bees will be!

I love veils, I find them to be insanely romantic. I’m a little biased because I especially LOVE long veils so I picked the longer style. Your best bet is to try them on.

I think you can do a single tier chapel veil and tuck the comb under your hairdo. No blusher.

I wore a veil at SF city hall. I wasn’t going to, but changed my mind at the last minute. Glad I did! I also wore a small tiara. SF city hall is so grand! I hope you love it as much as I did.

@laurenalesa: Thank you! I love this! I keep seeing all these lovely city hall weddings with cute little skirt suits and vintage tea length dresses and then i get self-concious about looking like a princess, but you look like royalty!!
