Okay ladies, I finally picked the dress but am now torn when it comes to the veil and am hoping for a bit of input and honest feedback. My dress is shown below and an important factor to keep in mind is that I am having a destination wedding on an elevated deck overlooking the ocean at 5:00pm. For this reason I’m considering going veil=less, but at the same time I feel like it’s my only opportunity to wear one and when I tried it on it makes me feel more bridal. I’m also torn as to whether it should be fingertip length or cathedral and if I can get away with wearing a mantilla or go with a raw edge? I love lace (obviously) but wonder if a mantilla would be overkill especially in a cathedral. Does the thickness of the lace edge make a difference? And I wonder if a cathedral length veil, mantilla or raw edge, would just be too formal for a destination wedding. I only plan on wearing the veil for the ceremony and I think it would make for a good prop in a few beach photos, but that’s it. Help me please.
